Unlike the allegories of virtues, sciences usually do not appear in the epideictic texts within the scope of the praise narrative, so in their core they remain an abstract image of education. At the same time, the presence of the figures of artes liberales in multi-figure engravings in honor of the nobility, the Cossack starshyna and the higher clergy meant to a lesser degree the praise of personal education, but rather emphasized their role as patrons of the academic education. Among the engravings with figures of artes liberales we know today, theses of academic disputes outnumber the portrait panegyric printed sheets.
